Services offered
We are happy to offer you all our services. Experience has shown that the following services may be of particular interest to you.

Explosion protection
The automotive industry handles a wide range of hazardous substances. Quite a few of these are capable of forming a hazardous flammable atmosphere. These include not only the obvious substances such as solvents, but also a wide variety of combustible solids or flammable gases. We are happy to offer you the following services:

Water protection
Many of the hazardous substances handled in day-to-day operations are hazardous to water. The storage rooms for these substances are usually facilities within the meaning of the AwSV. The requirements of the AwSV must therefore be met. We are happy to offer you the following services:

Hazardous incident law
Stored waste must also be taken into account when assessing the applicability of the Major Accidents Ordinance (12. BImschV). Here, a general classification can lead to an overestimation of the hazard potential within the meaning of the StörfallV. We are happy to offer you the following services:

Approval procedure according to BImSchG
As part of the construction or significant modification of plants requiring approval under immission control legislation, various expert opinions on plant safety are usually also required. We are happy to offer you the following services:
Explosion protection document
according to § 6 (9) GefStoffV
According to § 6 (9) GefStoffV, you as the operator are obliged to consider explosion hazards separately in a risk assessment. If these cannot be excluded in principle, e.g. because flammable substances are handled, you are obliged to prepare an explosion protection document.
We offer you the preparation of explosion protection documents in accordance with § 6 (9) GefStoffV, taking into account the current legal situation and the state of the art.
Plants in planning
Preliminary explosion protection documentation
If your system is still in the planning phase, we recommend that you include explosion protection in the planning at an early stage. We will be happy to advise you here and offer to draw up a preliminary explosion protection document that can be converted into an explosion protection document once the system has been installed.
Training courses
i. S. v. § 12 BetrSichV
As an operator of systems requiring monitoring in accordance with Annex 2 Section 3 BetrSichV - systems with explosion risks - you are obliged to instruct your employees on the activity-related explosion hazards at least once a year in accordance with Section 12 BetrSichV.
We offer training for your employees that is tailored to your plant. In our training courses, your employees will not only learn the basic principles of explosion protection, they will also be trained on the specific hazards in your plant based on your explosion protection document.

Classification of residual materials
i. As defined by the Major Accidents Ordinance (12. BImSchV)
Waste (residual substances) must be assigned to the most similar hazard category or the most similar named substance in accordance with the Major Accidents Ordinance in terms of their major-accident potential.
The KAS-61 guideline provides both a general assessment option and the option of classification with detailed knowledge. However, as the blanket classifications are necessarily conservative, it is often worth classifying your waste fractions using detailed knowledge. We would be happy to classify your waste for assessment in accordance with the Hazardous Incident Ordinance.
Applicability test
Major Accidents Ordinance (12. BImSchV)
An establishment falls within the scope of the 12th BImSchV (StörfallV) if the hazardous substances present in the establishment within the meaning of the StörfallV fulfill the criteria of Annex I of the StörfallV.
We will check your information as part of a permit application. We are also happy to support you in advance with the preparation of the application documents for the applicability of the StörfallV.
Impact assessments
e.g. according to KAS-18, § 50 BImSchG
The appropriate safety distance for the construction of a hazardous incident facility must be determined as part of immission control approval procedures.
For Ex zones, it may be necessary to determine their dispersion by calculation.
We calculate and evaluate the spread and impact of these scenarios for you.
Explosion protection
Explosion protection is an important point to consider when evaluating possible operational malfunctions and the associated technical and organizational measures.
Plant-related water protection (AwSV)
The “Checklist for application documents in immission control approval procedures” must be used for approval procedures in Bavaria. Chapter 12.4 contains the information for facilities handling substances hazardous to water in accordance with § 62 WHG.
We will be happy to assist you with the preparation of the required documents or review your application documents.
