Explosion protection
Due to the methane content in biogas, biogas plants are subject to inspection in accordance with BetrSichV. Commissioning tests and periodic inspections are required. We are happy to offer you the following services:

Water protection
Biogas plants fall within the scope of the AwSV and must therefore be inspected at the time of commissioning and every 5 years. Ancillary systems such as used oil or fresh oil storage can also be AwSV systems requiring inspection. We are happy to offer you the following services:

Hazardous incident law
With a storage quantity of 10,000 kg (or more) of biogas, your plant falls within the scope of the Major Accidents Ordinance (12th BImSchV). This entails various obligations that you must fulfill. We are happy to offer you the following services:
- Inspections in accordance with Section 29a BImSchG
- Inspections of the requirements of TRAS 120
- Concept for the prevention of major accidents (major accident concept) in accordance with Section 8 StörfallV
- Concept for the prevention of major accidents (major accident concept) in accordance with Section 8 StörfallV

Approval procedure according to BImSchG
Approval procedures in accordance with the BImSchG are usually required for the expansion of biogas plants. We are happy to offer you the following services:
Explosion protection document
according to § 6 (9) GefStoffV
According to § 6 (9) GefStoffV, you as the operator are obliged to consider explosion hazards separately in a risk assessment. If these cannot be excluded in principle, e.g. because flammable substances are handled, you are obliged to prepare an explosion protection document.
We offer you the preparation of explosion protection documents in accordance with § 6 (9) GefStoffV, taking into account the current legal situation and the state of the art.
Tests
according to Annex 2 Section 3 BetrSichV
In accordance with § 15 BetrSichV, systems with explosion hazards must be inspected before commissioning and also periodically in accordance with § 16 BetrSichV. The inspections must be carried out by persons authorized to carry out inspections in accordance with BetrSichV.
The required inspections and the persons authorized to carry out inspections are described in more detail in Annex 2 Section 3 of the BetrSichV.

Inspections
according to § 47 AwSV
Systems that fall within the scope of the AwSV must be inspected by an expert within the meaning of the AwSV in accordance with Section 47 AwSV.

Safety inspections
according to § 29a BImSchG
In accordance with § 29a BImSchG, the authorities can order safety inspections for installations or plants requiring approval within an operating area in accordance with § 3 (5a) BImSchG.

TRAS 120
Safety inspection
In accordance with § 29a BImSchG, the authorities can order safety inspections for systems or installations requiring approval within an operating area in accordance with § 3 (5a) BImSchG.

Concept for the prevention of major accidents
according to § 8 StörfallV
Operators of operating areas in accordance with § 3 (5a) BImSchG must draw up a concept for the prevention of major accidents in accordance with § 8 StörfallV before commissioning.
The implementation of the concept is ensured by a safety management system in accordance with Annex III of the Major Accidents Ordinance (12th BImSchV).
Information for the public
according to § 8a and § 11 StörfallV
Establishments pursuant to § 3 (5a) BImSchG are obliged to make certain information available to the public. This information is specified in Annex V of the Major Accidents Ordinance. For upper-tier establishments, more extensive information must also be made available to the public in accordance with Article 11.
We would be happy to prepare the necessary documents for you to inform the public in accordance with Sections 8a and 11 of the Major Accidents Ordinance.
Impact assessments
in accordance with KAS-18, § 50 BImSchG and other
The appropriate safety distance for the construction of a hazardous incident facility must be determined as part of immission control approval procedures.
In addition, a safety distance must be determined for gas flares.
For Ex zones, it may be necessary to determine their dispersion by calculation.
